IPSLA 2019

IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, through its annual Inspirational Public-Sector Leadership Awards (IPSLA) seeks to acknowledge public institutions who aim to improve public service delivery in Ghana.

IPSLA 2019 focused on measuring innovation in the public sector by the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) by evaluating the current innovative initiatives they have introduced to improve efficiency in public service delivery in the country.

IPSLA 2019  measures innovation in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Ghana by adopting the methodology of the Australian Public Sector (APS) project on Public Sector Innovation under the Australian Public-Sector Innovation Indicators (APSII) Project, 2011. At the end of this Survey, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Driver and Vehicle License Authority (DVLA). National Service Secretariat (NSS), Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Business Development emerged as the top five institutions in Ghana that are effectively and efficiently executing their mandate of delivering services to the public innovatively.
